So I am placing an offer on a Short Sale and I feel like its just too lengthy.

I have invested on Prosper, I bought 38 notes a little over a year ago. 3 have been paid off. 8 have not paid in several months, 2 are a little over due right now and 25 are paying as they are supposed to.

A good, but often lengthy, contract spells everything out up front.

Biggest regret is I didn't start investing in RE when I was your age.I apologize in advance for this lengthy response.

There is a lengthy trot around Murphys barn on the method but no REAL explaination....Sounds like a lot of smoke and mirrors to pump you up to buy then you have to buy it to find whats in it......Anyone?

In the past I had been entranced by the idea of a senior renter and gave a month free and held a unit for a month in anticipation of a lengthy tenancy.

This might be totally fair and normal I just wanted to throw it out there for some feedback to make sure I am not getting screwed over due to my own lack of knowledge!

Sometimes the sale is structured so that the seller has some interest enabling him to foreclose on the subject property, but even so foreclosure could be a lengthy and expensive process, and meanwhile back property taxes, insurance, and fix up expenses still need to be paid.
