@Tom Jones Real estate out in the western part of the state is FAR less expensive than the eastern part.You could buy an SFR or perhaps even two with $60K. 

Hi all,l live and invest in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Now, I'm out in western MA which I know may as well be another country as far a Massachusetts is concerned but I was just curious about what your seeing in the overall market. 

It’s my hope that I can connect with an experienced Real Estate professional that would consider working with a new investor, ideally in the western suburbs, and could help me identify revenue generating assets on a schedule that is outside of traditional business hours.

I've always wanted to live in New York City instead of the suburbs but the city is just far to expensive for me to begin investing anytime soon. the criteria for an ideal location is listed below 1.Not a fan of very hot and humid summers. cough cough New York cough2.Area where i could be relatively close to bike trails, hiking, skiing, and any other outdoor activities 3.Prices close to the mid western market 4.I do like being in a big city I have been considering highly of Denver and Indianapolis.
