The problems in RE happen when people get greedy and forget that we really are in business to help others, not just make a fast buck :)

If they still want to build a deck and fence they will discuss it with the new PM and you will find out, otherwise it comes off as greedy to contact them about it directly.I have had contact with the tenants in my house, I actually found them first then my PM, but I made it very clear from the start that we would be using a PM for their protection and mine (I live out of state) and that everything needed to go through the PM.

And that's a good thing to remember, not getting greedy.

I understand that two, three, or four heads are better than one, as long as nobody gets greedy or lets their ego get in the way.

Mike,It is not that Los Angeles is greedy most landlords don't like paying to search records and think everything should be free.

I don't blame the builders they are taking advantage of the opportunity provided by greedy politicians.
