Stumbled upon a duplex that is very dated but over all in good shape, and owned by an older widow who is getting tired of dealing with the turn over of tenants and is strongly considering selling within the next couple months. 

However, he did have a client recently pass away and his 70 something widow was looking to sell two 9 unit buildings (without a broker) that they have owned since they were built in 1984. 

My mother is 71, widowed, and still lives in the same home she has spent the majority of her adult life in.

Simply installing the new widow flush with the siding definitely will look out of place.

I went by the house and noticed basement widows and doors open wide and testing equipment was in the basement, close to the equipment.    

I would have to firmly believe my financial situation was worse than the widow's to keep the $.
