Have you thought about matching the brown wood around the windows and also have a stunning carpet to walk on.Not sure why the white caulk is visible on the edge of the treads; maybe someones effort at stopping stair squeaks?

in my situation it's happening to all blinds dome facing east and west notnin direct sunlight. the blotchy is on the inside of the blind... really concerned about the cause and hoping someone has solved for this. 

The 5 star restaurant inquired about a clear dome on the second level.
