I had been under the impression that there are products out there where you can put 10-15% down to get in.

The best way to develop a solid SOW is this - you start off with what you are visualizing in your head, send drawings, pictures and products that you like.

He is critiquing products and courses that he hasn’t personally used.

I dont want the money to become an issue but a by product of helping others ( scaling ). 

If your product is nice, I believe you'll attract the right kind of renter (factory worker, lineman, etc). 

He teaches people to build small, but productive, portfolios.

I left my job earlier this month with the intent of retiring -- not so sure how that's working out as now I'm interviewing as I feel like I'm not being productive (this is an entirely different beast).
