Airbnb is illegal in Atlanta, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, and Denver - and non-hosted stays are illegal in Los Angeles... only assuming you get caught, of course.

They practice in los angeles even though they are in Valencia.

Just listened to an interesting episode of the Bigger Pockets podcast with @josepha and it got me thinking about investing in a section 8 rental properties in more expensive markets, particularly my hometown Los Angeles.

I used to work as a project and asset manager for the Los Angeles Housing Authority, which owns all the public housing in the city- some tough neighborhoods.

Btw im speaking from experience in Los Angeles CA. 

I can find plots of land around SLO for less than 200, in paces like Atascadero and Los Osos, so I'm very curious to see if this will actually work!
