I am comparing it to other investments like real estate or publicly traded companies. 

No big, national, publicly traded banks will do this loan type.

For schools, Omaha has an excellent public school system and has multiple counties with nationally ranked high-schools.

Look for private sales in public records or on FSBO sale sites, and/or6.

If I was the owner I would be asking why is it not published in the NY times, or other publications that have high net worth individuals.

It's a whole other thread to get into but do some research on the issues with commercial real estate, Ben Mallah is a recent high-profile additional person to come out publicly on this and who is putting his $ where his mouth is. 

I think BP is a great place to get people publicly together and then they can create a private group.

It's hard to say without knowing more about your financial situation (not that you should post that on a public forum).

To elaborate, by investing in our fund, you're essentially investing in shares of a non-publicly traded company.
