I can definitely attribute a lot of my success over the last few years due to the connections I made on Bigger Pockets and the things I've just simply learned by listening to and reading all the great info available here!

The seller has the two lots legally separated, but due to deed restriction imposed by the subdivision development, found that building a house on the “tennis court” lot was not allowable. 

House hacking and leveraging my W-2 income to stack properties before transitioning into full-time real estate makes a lot of sense, and I'll definitely keep this approach in mind.

I have a 401k, IRA, and pension in place to help me achieve retirement quicker, however I definitely feel the squeeze on a daily basis and always feel like I'm living paycheck to paycheck.

A CPA familiar with local STR regulations can definitely help make sure you’re set up correctly!
