What we are left with are owners in it for the long haul and the majority of our prized properties.

The unit is directly accross the street.But hey...war zone or not, im in it for the long haul.

You can mow yards, shovel snow, haul junk, clean houses or any number of low skill jobs.

I'm young and ready to take the risk If that means It will take years to cash flow I'm in for the long haul. 

I use a version of the 50% rule as a quick but reliable measure of expenses on a single-family: you can reasonably expect all monthly expenses not related to the  principal+interest of the loan on a property OVER THE LONG HAUL to be 50% of monthly gross income.I also think she's just calculating that PITI expenses are pushing her down to - $120 a month.

A plumber may offer to haul the old one away for you - free is a good price for that.
