They may not be authorized to do dual agency, or they may not feel it is in the best interest of their seller client if a listing is hot since dual agency can get messy.

This can work but has some downsides, so make sure who ever you get in with won't get sued or take bankruptcy, whcih you can still come out of, but messy.

I'll still occasionally let customers do this if I'm feeling nice, but now I let them know ahead of time (and have a clause in my contract) that if something goes awry with their materials and/or subs, it's on them to clean up the mess.
