Ditto for the city council.

Mississippi still has to work on its national reputation but, south of I-10, its an entirely different latitude.Ive bought 2 SFR in the last year and after I complete this reno, I will probably get another and use for STR as the entire gulf is very STR friendly (there are some pockets in Biloxi that are rejecting them, but the city council is promoting the value and insuring that adoption is in-line with where the city wants to be in 10 years).

Locals reach out to the local government and the council members propose all kinds of bills and regulations in the hopes of making the locals happy.Essentially what has happened here, is that in order to get a permit on a single family home for STR use, you need to meet a few criteria.  

Start out with the respective local chamber of commerce, economic development councils and such. 

If you went down this route, do get council to help you craft some statement for both side to declare everything you discuss.Good luck!

When seeking council from experienced local investors, don't come across as a "gimme gimme" person but rather, trading your time, energy, devotion to help in their business in exchange for knowledge.
