I also recommend staying around the border of the city or connects to another city.

Cross into norcross or chamblee or doraville which are all border cities up and down buford hwy and you are in the ghetto.

The areas that border the northern DC line all tend to be great investments.

The first house I drove by in Roseville was right on the border of Antelope and I was pretty surprised by the appearance of the surrounding houses for the esteemed Roseville. 

Been wondering about the Austin neighborhood bordering Oak Park.

I prefer Oakland county border communities to Detroit because they offer greater value as rentals (city services, police and fire coverage, schools).  

I gave it a read also.What I can tell from looking online:- It is on the border of where crime gets bad, if it were any further south I'd skip it.- Schools do not seem the best- Population is maintaining and property values are appreciatingI fully plan on making a flight out there in the next week to scope it out for myself.I am hoping once I am there in person I can get a better feel + chat with some locals.
