Also, I would disagree about the military in Norfolk- I would bet more live outside of Norfolk than inside (not including those in base housing/ship)/

However one thing is for sure, In times like this it does pay dividends to have a previously established relation ship with a plumber so you can get one in a hurry if you really need one.

Another simple item I use (and instruct the vendors to update) is a shipping tag... heavy card stock, about 2 1/2" X 4 1/2" that has a grommet with a metal wire for attaching to, for example, the AC, or furnace, or water heater, or other stationary items that you perform preventative maintenance or repairs on.

After each one gets covered in a coating of caramel drizzle, it is stuffed into a wrapper and falls into a box to be shipped out.

Since you're buying for yourself you may see what kind of ship the PM companies are running and choose to use their services yourself in the management of the properties.
