I'd give them notice that you are not going to do month to month anymore and that you can do a 60 or 90 day lease to help them out, but you need more clarity and you require 45-60 days notification.

That clarity of how it truly works is important to wrap the mind around.

The land is under contract and we're entering our due diligence period where we will seek special variance permits for the commercial zoning and get more clarity on potential wetland areas.

A week, from a health or water clarity standpoint, would be the most I would be comfortable with as an Owner or PM.

Also get clarity from a bank on how much they'll lend to you on rentals.
