Today, while planning our Autistic retreat in March [the first retreat of its' kind EVER, and not because it is being held at a nudist resort] I met a woman from the Pueblo area who is more than eager to be of assistance.

It sounds like possibly that area might be more useful for Airbnbs that over a "remote northern woods retreat" or something to that effect.

Is it possible to buy a corporate retreat through the LLC and use this as a STR when the company is not using it for retreat purposes?

I had planned to put the building into a non-profit because we intend to use it for retreats and community space and would like to avoid the realestate taxes as well as accept donations and grants for the restoration of the church. 

Maybe focus it on bigger groups such as church groups, or corporate retreats, or Boy Scouts-Girl Scout troop getaways with parents?

Our goal is to build a retreat center, self-sustaining farm living off the grid, accept cryptocurrency for payments in rentals and for purchasing of our produce.
