I have heard STR owners both sing its praises but also complain about crime, difficulty finding any sort of quality vendor (cleaning, snow removal, etc) or contractor, and the risk associated with leisure properties during a market correction. 

Not to mention the praise we received from the adjacent neighbors.

My tenants give me high praise and happily refer others to my units -  therefore i rarely have openings and when i do it fills quicklly  I will be interested to read what others do.  

A local builder may take more pride in their delivery and quality because they depend upon your "praise" to stay valuable in their market.Now let's break it down further. 

In slinging all this praise, the traditional methods of lead generation do still work and as any good agent/investor knows, there is a different approach you take with investors.
