In the event that he moves out in a few years, I would turn the unit into a rental.Questions:1) Since I will be renting to a family member, do I still need to create an LLC?

The more they move in the longer they stay--- you never know what their needs are going to be.

I am trying to hire a licensed REA for my LLC to perform occasional open houses and move-in/move-out inspections since I am out-of state from my rental property.I have the REA identified, now I just need to know the steps to creating a contract for them and me to sign.

We completely gutted and finished the basement including adding a kitchenette and 3/4 bath, moved out and are now renting both apartments.

We just moved from PA last year.
