Early on in my investing journey I experienced a ton of water damage because of water leaks in places that often goes unnoticed under sinks, in utility closets etc.I was curious if anyone else here has considered any remote monitoring water leak systems?

I had a plumber refuse to use supply valves because he couldn't verify that they were new and so if there was a leak he couldn't warrant the work.

My intuition tells me that if they were rehabbing a property in poor condition, they surely must have known that water was leaking into the basement.
