Not sure what is meant by inviting destrution or whatever but one thing I dont care for is their entitled nature.

Because I already owned properties in Latin America and Europe, I started to answer these questions as my contribution to BiggerPockets and the forum.There used to be an international sub-forum and I was the main contributor, reason why I was invited a few years back to attend a call with CEO Scott Trench and the other top sub-forum contributors to give our advice on the last changes in the forums.

After buying hundreds of houses I guess one learns a couple things..I was in San Diego California on a 2 hour "how buy real estate chat" and when done I over heard the real estate club owner say "I will never have him back" He said that becasue I wasnt selling anything, just giving knowledge about our business.What I found really funny is that he called me a few months later and asked me how to market for certain types of deals...BTW I was invited back...

I attended seminars, joined meetup groups, and regularly invited local professionals for coffee to learn from their experiences.

I wonder if many of you feel that the landscape of the RE community has changed over the years to be a lot more supportive and inviting for newbies?
