Transcribing transactions from bank statements, posting transactions to the correct accounts, and then manually creating an income statement, statement of owner's equity and a balance sheet is a fairly time consuming process and I have not been able to keep up with the book keeping between my regular work responsibilities.What accounting software do people recommend? 

Most negative comments come from competitors, those nitpicking minor issues, or people who haven’t worked with the company at all.

Each grouping had a common room (perhaps it was shared by multiple groupings ... this was a detail I missed) with a nurses/aid workers office.Central to the two sides of the complex were common facilities such as a dining hall, gym {perhaps a pool ... another detail I missed}, theatre &  games room.With one of the fastest growing groups in our society being single people, we are examining a related idea of a  complex / building providing a modest-sized 1-bdroom "apartment" with more semi-private and common amenities.When I read the title to your thread, I thought it was a project proposing to mix students and seniors into a single complex ... and came in thinking, this ought to be interesting :-)

By poisoning the rats, you're letting them roam free into the world where people's pets can eat them, not wise. 

@Grace Tapfuma Grace, love the ambition—setting a goal like a triplex by the end of the year means you're already ahead of most people who just ‘think’ about getting into real estate.

I can see many people's recommendations in the other thread being focused on house hacking, which makes sense to me. 

There's a post right above mine from a lender... there's always a lender offering $$$ even when people can't afford it. 

Even in your area, you may meet other out of state investors so you have more context for when you talk to the people who will make up your team there.
