Works out to save me about $8000 per home build by ditching private money and banks..not to mention the paperwork nightmare.

Here's what I've found and it should apply to other counties;a) Most of the liens are on residential properties.b) The highest rates are paid (won) on vacant residential land.c) Many of the 16% (highest rate in AZ) winners are on land that is too small to build on or a drainage ditch or landlocked parcels.

Sometimes, these tax guys end up with stuff that is useless to most people (drainage ditch, etc). 

Mathematically it would be better to ditch the lease and buy a good used car.Assuming you are keeping the car, then I see nothing wrong with converting the lease to purchase.
