Hello, I own and live in my primary residence in Hawaii and I am buying an investment property in Las Vegas with a DSCR loan, which will be a LTR. 

If you're in LA, the most logical area in my mind is Las Vegas for a lower barrier to entry, strong appreciation, much more favorable landlord/tenant laws, still close to LA, etc.

Hello BiggerPockets, I recently got the opportunity to purchase an off market property in Las Vegas about 15 minutes west of the strip.

I know in ATL with its bad traffic .. lots of folks moved out of the city for the burbs then 10 years or so ago infill became the rage as folks tired of bad traffic wanted back in the urban areas with less commute time.. not sure where it stands today.I know personally I am a little worried about moving back to Vegas in a Few years even though we are in Summerlin in a gated community etc etc.. still things go on there..

He moved to Las Vegas and did pretty good as a real estate man and moved back to Granbury Texas (about an hour from Dallas) where his brother lived.I would not to make such a decision but you have to do what is legal or only accept verifiable employment because you just do not know the liability you are under.
