Run 14-3 (for a 15-amp circuit) or 12-3 (for a 20-amp circuit) electrical cable from the switch box to the ceiling box so that you have one hot conductor for the fan motor and another for the light.

If there is a claim it needs to go back to the manufacturer for replacement, not the above supplier.We do our own & so far out of 8 we have not had a single problem with the brand we prefer but we have had 2 failures on two other brand installs we had done over the last several years.In both cases it was the blower/inducer motors that seized plus the need for a new capacitor.

I put a small piece of sticky foam in between fan motor and the top.Noise was virtually gone from the fan and it worked fine.Some fans even when working properly produce noise as they are the cheaper ones.

A motor spins the base which turns the cable.There are smaller, hand or drill powered versions.If all the drains in the house are slow, you'll need to find the main cleanout or cleanouts.

@Sarah Miller The following is from the Ohio law link from above:Title [53] LIII REAL PROPERTYChapter 5322: STORAGE FACILITIES5322.01 Storage facility definitions.As used in sections 5322.01 to 5322.05 of the Revised Code:(A) "Self-service storage facility" means any real property that is designed and used only for the purpose of renting or leasing individual storage space in the facility under the following conditions:(1) The occupants have access to the storage space only for the purpose of storing and removing personal property .(2) The owner does not issue a warehouse receipt, bill of lading, or other document of title, as defined in section 1301.201 of the Revised Code, for the personal property stored in the storage space"Self-service storage facility" does not include any garage used principally for parking motor vehicles, any garage or storage area in a private residence, an establishment licensed pursuant to sections 915.14 to 915.24 of the Revised Code, or any property of a bank or savings and loan association that contains vaults, safe deposit boxes, or other receptacles for the uses, purposes, and benefits of the bank's or savings and loan association's customers.If I'm understanding this correctly, then most of the advice above relating to Self Storage would be incorrect.

I have 5 rentals that I have owned for several years now, all 'cash cows' throwing off money, with few maintenance problems.Since Christmas, I have had to replace the water heaters in 3 houses, had the blower motor and control unit in an HVAC unit go out, and have a pipe under the foundation of the fifth house start leaking requiring two holes in the foundation!
