My name is Jake Berlin and I am currently 21 years old looking to buy my first rental property (I have 50k in equity.)

Some have more than $1 million in equity while others have less.4.

I am expecting to sell the triplex for around 1.2 - 1.3 mil and there is about 500k in loan balance so there is up to 800k in equity.

In my eyes, it's fair as even though I'm fronting the capital, the split in equity is worth it as it gives me more time to run my other business, plus we can do things faster with two of us, plus at this point of my REI journey, I don't have the skills/experience (yet) that he does with the construction side and for him, he values not having to manage the finances.  

The three in personal name have increased substantially in equity, I was going to tap the equity and reappraise etc looking at 4-500k of additional equity, these currently have separate notes in the 1st position of 3.35 30yr fixed.

I know that I've already go about 50k in equity in the property but the last appraisal was before 18 new windows @ 20k were installed.

I have 200k + in equity in my primary but she doesn’t want to touch that either (I’d prefer not to as well).

My wife and I own 4.5M worth of RE and have about 1.75M in equity.

I feel stuck in a similar situation, I have $1M in equity in this house that I’m living in and renting the mother in law apt next to it , the problem of course is the 7-8% interest rates , have they not stopped the BRRRR technique in its tracks ?
