The quote I got from a local attorney was over double what you've provided and I couldn't imagine trying to pass that entire cost onto the borrower.

You have to use a bank trust (fideicomiso) but it's like having the property in your own name for all intents and purposes.If you decide to buy and build, you'll have to do everything by yourself, although I imagine that the developer would be on hand to help you if needed.
