As Alina explained, it is a team sport and I know that term is thrown around often but its true.

REI is, after all, a team sport.

Who learns to surf, or snowboard, or play a sport, or run, or lift weights, or knit, or play video games, or write articles, or TURN ON SOMEONE ELSE'S SHOWER FOR THE FIRST TIME without sucking at it and feeling stupid?

Background out side of REI: I have a masters degree in sports marketing/business and currently work at Fox Sports as an Account Executive selling our TV and digital assets (commercials, in-game logos & reads, activations).Short term goal: networking on BP including any meet-ups in SoCal and retaining as much information on the forum and podcast that I can, to put into action!

I wouldn't invest with anyone unless I already had a working relationship with them and/or was currently in the same social group (i.e. smaller REI meet up, church group, sports team, etc.) as them where there are obvious social repercussions if they were to screw me over.
