Judges and lawmakers will see when legislation is needed if issues repeatedly come up or someone makes a loud noise. 

You might want a lawyer.There is specific federal legislation around leases and active duty military who get a change of location or MOP.

My policy when governments pass such legislation is "business as usual".

there is a movement in MO to unite all landlords - right now the new group MO REIA or MO Landlords (not formally named yet) has a group on Facebook and on Meetup, just to collect all interested parties together.The hope is to change MO legislation for the better.Right now the person who is the move and shaker on this initiative is Steve Vogel and he is filling committee positions to get the group started and functioning.

The Good Landlord's uses is Zane Froerer who's an eviction attorney (and probably has some pull with Gage Froerer, a veteran state legislator).

Ok, I know this relates to an entirely different country  but the USA also has legislation governing unfair terms in consumer contracts and they probably entail similar legal doctrines.Basically the proposition is this.

@Jeff Rabinowitz yes there can be challenges in any large metropolitan area that have pro tenant legislation in place.  

It OFTEN happens, more times than you would think and as much as 50% of the time.The requirements for a righteous sale have been legislated much more difficult over the years.There are 3 notice requirements and if ANY of the 3 is deficient, it could be enough to set aside the tax sale.
