Would love to buy a single family home in South FL or Central FL but am concerned with downside price risk/opportunity cost.Interest rates should be ticking up in the next 12 months, which should result in decreased demand.I try to make the case for another downturn in prices but have trouble; you have conservative and accurate mortgage underwriting and slowly recovery jobs picture with slight income growth

Unfortunately, I dont think we will see the positive results in the real estate market and among homebuyers in the near future.I remain hopeful that we are at the bottom of the recession and the we are in the process of recovery and that this bail program will create stability in the housing market which in turn will create stability in the financial market and the US economy.

Judging by what I see, hear and read in the media, the current consensus is that stocks bottomed on November 20th-21st, an economic recovery will begin in the second half of 2009, corporate bonds are a buy, stocks are cheap and the stock market is now discounting all the bad news.
