The other option would be to pay it off using a portion of your $10K, and just have the relief of having it behind you, and remaining debt free. 

Clearly the $150k assessment is WRONG...and you can fight it, and you get some relief...but the assessment will go from $150k to $80k.

What programs are out there to provide temporary relief (e.g. no interest loans, social programs, etc.) and help offset current costs?

Do not get me wrong, I realize this is unprecedented times, but don't you think they would give landlords the same relief?

The rent is still due and any rent relief is temporary.
