Barrington,Sorry, wife called for dinner so I had to cut it short earlier.Here's my 2 cents.

Both groups have traditions of a large number of folks having dinner at a nearby restaurant before the meeting.

Are there local get togethers or dinner groups around here?

From having to add 8 hours a day of being in your house (Work from home) to having more dinner parties and friends/family over (All the bars/restaurants are closed), people are in search of a home that can now accommodate all of these things.

Basically You need to have staying power,temperament , and persistence when things don’t turn out , when the tenants are calling again on a Sunday night at dinner , when the deal falls through , when the furnace or HVAC dies .

I'm going to be in Galveston TX for the week on my day-time job and I'm hoping to find a new friend to have dinner with after hours. 

Skip a couple dinners out.

Dinner is on you that day!!!!

@Sonya Suggs - instead of wasting money on guru seminars, might I suggest listening to a bunch of BP podcasts, get to know one of the hosts (that lives in the same state as you) and possibly buy him a few lunches or dinners and get some first-hand knowledge form someone actually DOING this business.Not saying that coaching is all bad (in fact we use a couple ourselves), but the "guru stuff" is an absolute waste.
