I live in a very competitive area (Brooklyn) and looking to start my business in two additionally competitive areas (Hudson Valley and 2 zip codes in DC).

In my opinion, the area is like buying in Brooklyn or Oakland 15 years ago. 

Does anyone have experience with evictions in NYC, in particularly Brooklyn?

He goes there daily (I'm in Brooklyn, NY, flipping in Norfolk, VA), but I work the phones, do the underwriting, deal with lenders and contractors - everything except for touching the property daily.

This is why I stress you have property management in place here to handle these things, I don't think you want to come up from Brooklyn to paint a porch!

In my area of Brooklyn, that would still acceptable, but not normally the winning score since I typically get scores above 750.HOWEVER, those are good scores and like @Nathan G. said, make sure your lease does have "Joint and Several Liability."

I'm just about to get the publication started before filing to transfer the LLC to Kings County in Brooklyn from Albany County.Hopefully this helps.
