Even with my experience - I had no success, and ended up not trying any more so I could focus on other things that are more fruitful. 

To your point, that's almost impossible to find...that's one of the reason I'm focusing on foreign markets now, much more low lying fruit.    

Perhaps a gift basket of fireworks and fine cheeses instead?

The bigger you make your basket the more impossible it is to make any profit and some of the currencies you have chosen are doomed to far greater losses than any possible offset from the gains on others.With Commodities you have to pay someone to store it for you and hope the gains more than make up for the cost of storage.

I like low hanging fruit too much.

The one locally in the Bay Area seems like the one you would lean towards, but the price of putting many eggs in one basket is the scarier part.  

Find a solid investment, then enjoy the fruits of your labor!

The wholesaler appears to take very little risk, but in return does not enjoy the full fruits of the find.
