The agent needs to verify that there are no issues with the house being under construction while still being occupied.If there are problems with your existing Insurance carrier they may be able to move the coverage to another carrier that will insure it or change to a different form of policy.

On further reflection I do not see how a carrier can deny a claim based on the fact that the mortgagee was not endorsed as an additional insured on the new buyer's policy.

Some carriers will not write a Personal policy (most likely you are in a Dwelling Fire Policy) to an LLC or Trust.
