Hey all,With my first cash flowing deal in place now, It's time for me and the GF to try and move out of an apartment (her mothers 3 family house) and grab a home to house hack.We will be looking mainly in Queens and maybe Brooklyn, not sure we can afford the ladder.Well probably (99%) have to use an FHA loan.

Considering buying a townhome in Brooklyn Park to use as a rental.Its a complete rehab,location is around Townsend ave# Ritchie Hwy,3 br 2 ba,values after rehab there seem to be in the +/-125k range,rents around $1100-1200/mo.Schools seem to be not bad (relatively speeking) in that area and taxes pretty low.Would appreciate any input from individuals owning properties there or familiar with the area - things to look for/avoid etc.

@Mitch MesserI think Mitch has the right idea.I'm a Brooklyn, NY investor, currently have 8 multi-family, 25 apts, 60 tenants.Last time I had to do an eviction was more than 15 years ago.I had to do 3 evictions, all of them were from inherited tenants that occupied the buildings when I purchased them.Despite being in a Bigley tenant friendly City, Market Rate buildings and apts can perform their due diligence so that you can reduce the risk of having high risk tenants.
