John,As you state what he had to say was reasonable (very intense speaker) Our strategies also don't play into the timing of the market,as with you finding deals and motivated sellers.

They have some good speakers and get a wide range of attendees who do a lot of interesting things.

And a shameless plug..I'll be holding a big RE Investor Summit in the Bay Area late this year if anyone is interested in coming to network with other investors, and hear some great speakers.

We will have a guest speaker, Bob Tonge, who will share his Mobile Home Park investing story. 

I'm a speaker, but speakers don't pay to be on stage (we're carefully vetted), and we're not allowed to pitch our services (makes a big difference in quality).
