A lot of tragic tales begin by buying sight unseen. 

I was on Instagram scrolling through my feed after work, came across a real estate investor profile.

I DO like the option of having both – become a colleague with those you've had a meaningful personal connection with (Like a Facebook friend), but follow whoever you want with no commitment for the mere reason you like what they post (Like an Instagram follow). 

If anyone is having success in online marketing for leads, Facebook ads, google ads, Instagram, Twitter,   can you provide resources I can go to? 

The whole myth that was propogated was that it was a fairy tale which it certainly was not.

Tales of failure are rampant, some people put 3 in a row.

Now, his instagram has been privated for months.

If not, perhaps you can connect with some contractors in your area to walk properties, and discuss the 'tell-tale" signs to watch for on major issues.

Unfortunately the tale you have been told is not likely the whole truth.
