I'd think that if the "program" disclosed were totally compliant, addressed legal areas and was a viable business practice, it would have been better defended, perhaps by the broker/supervisor who was sponsoring that practice.

I can't imagine most PHA heads/boards would think such a move would be a good idea, nor can I imagine more regional HUD supervisors would give it the OK.

Hi JayI am an appraiser in NJ and own my own company here doing residential appraisals for lenders and tax asessments.I am not sure of the requirements in your state, but in NJ, you have to work under a supervisor for 2 years or 2000 hours of appraisal work, before you can be licensed.

They are obviously giving me paid leave(wcb) but I am wondering if I should take any legal action, or is there nothing I can do.They know they are at fault because my supervisor has been suspended for lack of leadership in safety, basically taking care of his crew.

Even if he/she says she cannot reduce/eliminate the fees you can ask to speak to her/his supervisor or just move on to the next lender.

I spoke to their code compliance supervisor and also their business office, they told me the same, they will discount 90% once it passed inspection.But you are right, not in writing, they could change their mind, policy could change, they could have misunderstood.
