If a landlord gives the tenant an answer that could be construed as a denial of their request or acts in a way that causes a "chilling effect", then they indeed could pursue this in legal channels.

The SFBA rental market has chilled since early 2016.  

Long story short, the guy I hired was a complete and utter disaster.

If your goals are utterly depends on having adequate cash flow from your properties, any downturns will cripple you.

Needless to say he popped of with some words that he would never successfully utter to my face.  

As for showings you can schedule them with proper notice but at this point are you comfortable renting knowing it's probably not going to be vacant..If they chain the door shut or have changed the locks your not going to get in.. and more than likely if you do the place will be a utter mess and they have given you every reason to believe it's not going to be easy.. 

Lastly, never have I said you did not know what you were talking about that would be utterly foolish and disrespectful on my part.

Ten years down the road I feel like you can be chilling on a beach getting paid by your tenants.
