Did your borrowers mention securing your investment with a recorded mortgage or deed of trust, personal guarantees, lender’s title insurance, or anything else?

If they refuse or seem evasive, consider it a red flag.Financial transactions require trust, and unfortunately, my experience with Century Key Capital has shown me that borrowers must stay vigilant to protect themselves from hidden costs.

I’m based in Tampa and run Graystone Investment Group, focusing heavily on helping (out of state) investors find and manage properties here in Florida.Totally agree on the importance of understanding those short-term rental rules in Florida—each area can feel like its own little country with all the different regulations!

I wish I had just invested that money actively.
