I've seen some of you are musicians as well but for those of you who are not (or once were) and are curious how in the world can a trumpet player make it in the real estate business, I've written a blog post on my life as a musician and how it translates to real estate.

That is something that translates into all areas of my life and business. 

I then always figure the house needs work, and go by the AS IS quick sale value, then offer on the note accordingly.We unfortunately have real estate guys buying notes now and trying to sell notes based on ARV and other things that just rarely translate in the note world.

@Dave Foster I like your reasoning and when they translate into business you must be doing something right. 

I don’t necessarily expect every dollar spent on renovations to translate into a dollar increase in property value.

The closing was arduous but all that translates into is more education.

In terms of investors roles, being active translates into everyone having to do something for a deal.

Just to put things into perspective, in July there were approximately 197 homes on the market, which translated to 0.91 month's supply of inventory.

I was only able to communicate with one of the buyers in fluent english and two of them could only speak spanish, we did have someone translating there as well but something may have been lost in translation.
