I am 18 years old and I am very interested in CRE Investing and I need some advice on how to get started and if there is any videos that can help me get started.

We are considering investing in Houston as foreign investors (from Belgium), our goal is to find and start with a long-term rental single or multi family home. 

You will likely miss some deductions using the commercial tax software but it’s the cheaper option and starting out a couple hundred dollars in deductions missed likely isn’t that big of a deal.

There's no real wrong answer to your question, but the right answer starts with you figuring out what general direction you want to aim in. 

Some costs MAY qualify as startup costs if the rental rises to a qualifying trade or business level under 195 as well.

I have been reading the online resources about getting started, searching the market, and even doing tours, but I am hesitant to jump in and buy a house as I have quite a large amount of student debt.
