The area is on the rebound but it is going to take many years .

People in other countries realize that and they just jump in to US market for investment.Material commodities pricing is all time low just like oil, expecting material will rebound and that make  material so expensive to build new houses... all these indicate we still have room to grow, again if something big going on under the hood like "BIG SHORTS", then i am not sure... :)

Every time someone foretells of a softening in NYC's rentals, it rebounds.

Financial markets have been very pleased with the measures taken so far in the US (not so much in Europe...) and have rebounded pretty quickly.

The job market is weak as well so no rebound for them anytime soon.

If you place your money in a DST when the market crashes and then starts to rebound you will have an opportunity to 1031 exchange Again.

@George Gammon  we may not have had a country wide bubble like 08 before .. but we had a CA bubble in 1989 to 1992... and many of you would find this hard to believe but even the holy grail of solid real estate San Francisco and silicon valley in those days many properties dropped 50% in value and it was not until 1998 dot com rebound that values got back to 1987 to 1988 peaks.

We also knew southern California would lead a rebound.
