I used the 75% rule on the income and added it and my DTI without the rental goes from 24% to 38%.Or does it just allow me to just take the net profit of that rental and add it to my rental?

@Veronique Leroy I would say it is possible if you force equity, hold for a few years and then sell and then average the return of the whole profit over the timeframe of deal.

I could feasibly pursue multiple deals and if I find one in an area I’d like to live once I move back to the US, I would like the option of renting it out while still living abroad but being able to move in and refi to a better deal with an owner-occupier loan.
