As others have mentioned, I recommend starting to attend some local meetups here and there just to start brushing shoulders with other brokers, investors, wholesalers, etc. to really get your feet wet without putting money on the line.

I’m considering purchasing a rental property or two in the Dallas area to use as a STR revenue generator and get my feet wet for some passive income before I retire.

a) Buy a commercial multifamily property between 5 and 10 units to get my feet wet in commercial real estate.               

On that campground, we have a conditional use permit (CUP) and have been approved by San Bernardino County by land use services to modify the prexissiting CUP with some additional units, dry to wet campground, pool, gazebos, utility building, etc. it’s a big project.
