Want to make sure there's plenty of room for parking, as about half your tenants will bring cars. 

But you can’t refinance a house when the rent is half the mortgage.

I live 800 miles from my property and I need to furnish it soon.

I am the opposite I have never bought new tires for a car in the last 20 plus years except for my Porsche which chews them up. and my model X Tesla which weighs a ton.. when i need new tires I get a new car :)  PS when the clutch went out on the Porsche at 25k miles and out of warranty it was 5k to fix it..

STRs specifically have supercharged our passive income goals and cut down our initial goal of a 10 yr run to get where we want to be in half. 

We had an investment group willing to come in and zero-lot line a dilapidated apartment complex in Corvallis and give the tenants the opportunity to buy to help solve our affordability crisis here, but nonetheless, the city forced their hand by needing a half-street development after changing zoning that killed the deal.

Basically, from what I've seen (and this is purely anecdotal), they're not really going to go out past one, maybe two miles, unless there simply is no truly comparable property.

Not to mention it's 70 miles away and the stress/sleepless nights. 5k and a free property?
