Your best bet is probably to get your real estate license and start actively being a real estate professional or buy a STR in your market that you can physically be at on a regular basis.

Most can't handle their own problems and it is overwhelming to some to deal with others problems on a longterm basis at the most inconvenienttimes.

Take action on the smaller bite sized tasks rather then looking at the entirety of your goal everyday.

I would buy a house all day every day based on good returns and the proper STR "community" before I cared about the "brand" per say.
