Depending on the dryer design, something like an errant dryer sheet or sock or scrap of fabric may have escaped the drum and fallen into the air piping in the dryer.

<g>Ever notice how on those carpenter shows even the most complicated wood working details:  complex finger joints, delicate inlays, and etc. all fit Perfectly the first time?

What I find fascinating with most blogs and posts on these forums is that almost all numbers being used in the poster's analysis are fabricated or hypothetical.

We have access to a lot of contractor surplus auctions so we do well.BUT I also have a 30x40 two story barn for storage.For granite counter tops I approach the fabricators for their remnants.For flooring we have a small local privately owned company that we developed a relationship with & he gives us great deals.In fact we sold one of our properties to a contractor he works with.I am with you on the plumbing supply stores.

Sofas and other fabric furniture may need to be thrown out.The tenants have to be very proactive and follow all necessary steps or they will just keep coming back

We fabricate them onsite and hang with hidden hanger screws.

I'd probably get a chimney company to come and fabricate a cap that covers the entire chimney top, not just the hole, if that makes sense.

A good fabricator can hide the seam well.
