Compensation has always been fully negotiable, but that has not always been transparent to the consumer.

When I had my property management company (and the people I sold it to and manage my properties continued it) the policy was late fees are split 50/50, which I think is the ideal scenario.My rational was it takes more time and effort as a PM to collect when a person isn't paying, and at the same time the owners might not receive the rent when they should, so 50/50 compensated us both. 

It usually starts with a notice being posted, so get that done asap to 'start the clock'.Keep in mind you should receive their security deposit as a transfer from the previous landlord as a part of closing, so that will at least compensate you somewhat for the lost income if they haven't trashed the place and such.One other set of questions would be - do you want them to leave?  

As a partner who will be getting a payout at closing day, how much should he be compensated for his labor and should I be compensated for listing the homes?

You are paying a good chunk of compensation to your agent, and this should be their wheelhouse.

And that accretion is traceable to compensation for services.If you really don't want to be taxed on the commission, refuse it along with any reduction in purchase price or credit. 

Yield Spread is when a lender gets compensated from the rate sometimes without disclosure to the client.

We will require workman’s compensation, general liability, builders risk, and a performance bond from any company that wishes to bid.

I'd love to move into this full-time but not sure how to structure the initial crew, compensation and insurance.
