@Logan Hassinger I'm also not convinced that this is truly a section 8 complex, due to the bad condition, broken window fixed with cardboard etc.

I would be astonished if your mortgage did not have a due on sale clause, which means the mortgage has to be paid off before the issuer will remove the lien on your property. 

Personally, I haven't had much issue renting my 2/1 apartments.
